Gigabyte Laptops T1125N

Monday, November 8, 2010

CLOSER LOOK AT THE GIGABYTE T1125N CONVERTIBLE NETBOOK Long before the advent of slate like tablet computers, there was a category of laptops called convertibles or netvertibles. These machines sported a touchscreen display that could be folded down over the keyboard for using in the tablet mode.

Most major PC makers have launched at least one covertible tablet style netbook. Gigabyte, for example, has launched many and plans to launch many more.

The latest convertible from Gigabyte is the 11.6 inch T1125N. It is powered by an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor and NVIDIA GeForce 310M discrete graphics with 512MB of video memory and Optimus technology. The laptop has 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports, eSATA, VGA, 4-in-1 card reader and a slot for the docking station which will house a DVD burner. Other features include Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and a 3.5G module.

Gigabyte is planning to launch the T1125N in time for the holiday shopping season. No word on pricing at the moment, but Gigabyte isn't quite known for launching cheap laptops.
